All of sudden I appear to be a successful fund manager, albeit in a fantasy league. I entered the JPM Fantasy Fund Manager and currently stand in 31st place out of 8,000+ entries. My portfolio has adopted a ’shoot the lights out’ objective with a risk profile of ‘highly likely to crash and burn’ but it seems to be doing OK so far. Wondering if I could sneak this model into a real client’s portfolio.
I’m an investment guru!

I’m a few thousand down on that position

I’m sure the heady heights I have achieved with my £100m won’t last for much longer!!
It’s not a sprint, its a marathon Richard; and the end is far far away. Are you in a league? Should we set up a Paraplanner.com league? Me thinks so.
‘Shoot the lights out’ on a Suitability Report would be the best line ever.
Peter – I am in a league but setting up one for The Paraplanner is a great idea. Why didn’t we think of that before!? Not sure if it’s too late for this round but maybe the next one. I’m sure we could rustle up a prize for the winner.
league is set up as:
theparaplanner.com
y’all need to find it and join! Don’t be shy – no prizes needed I feel as there are plenty on offer from JPM.
Err….Richard, no you’re not. Not any more anyway!! (I can say this now as I am currently holding 437th position.)
Neil Marsden is judging by todays figures – 190th!
It was good while it lasted. I’m going to get my 8 year old son to ‘realign’ my portfolio and see if he can do any better.
Are you going down the fees or commission route with him?
Doesn’t matter – he takes all my money anyway!
