Post Wrap accounts
We have just published an article on wrap account son the main site which you can read here. This shows that Transact comes out on top with those surveyed. So, which wrap do you use and why? Also, if you don't use a wrap, why not?

I exclusively use Ascentric. Why? Very transparent charges - 0.25% platform charge (reducing to 0.1% for holdings in excess of £1m), and we can more or less request any fund to go on panel (and usually obtain at substantial discounts).
Clients understand the charges very easily, I can describe them on the 'back of a fag packet' if I need to - I can't get my head arouns Standard Life and others, and neither can my clients!

Also white labeling costs just £300 (one off).

I think they are excellent. Admin wise they have a few teathing problems as they grow, but generally I'm really impressed.

I second that Colin, the easily beath others on cost and open to chnage and feedback, admins not been great but they are still finding their feet plus the offering really puts most of it in your court which is great from a time scale and less forms poiunt of view, but you will need to put in place some trading checks and compliance process.

We use Transact and have started using Selestia Investment Solutions.

What I'm still unsure of is that if I do a transfer in-specie onto the Selestia Investment Solutions - will they allow a transfer in-specie (of ISA funds) out of their platform?

I've seen some comments on Citywire saying that they will but can't find anything out on their site.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks.

Transact for me. We have had very complicated investments undertaken for clients and they have administered them no sweat. Compliance dept also very useful.

Post Re: Wrap accounts
Hi,
We are currently reviewing the use and implementation of WRAPs / Platforms and a year on from the original comments made on this thread I am wondering what people's views are on the offerings currently out there, particularly with the re-vamp of Aviva, Standard Life and Axa's Elevate compared with the names mentioned here.

What do you use?
Why?
What products do you use it for (not all have Investment Bonds I believe)
Do you use more than one?
Who provides best support?

Look forward to hearing your valued comments.
